There are two ways companies buy from us.

All you can eat, priced per guest. Best for most parties. Tell us the headcount, we bring enough, nobody counts. $2.10 to $3.50 a head depending on toppings, with a $450 minimum on any event.

By the serving. More common for big company events and anything running several days. You buy a number of servings at $0.80 each — two flavors with cones, cups and spoons — and add toppings at $0.50 or $0.80 a serving. Machines are charged separately. For a large crowd or a long booking this is usually the cheaper way round.

Five events, priced the way they actually came out:

50 people, one hour, employee appreciation — $450. Fifty at $3.05 comes in under our minimum, so the minimum is what you pay. Add an attendant to run it and it is $502. Worth knowing that 50 people and 140 people cost the same here, so if you are hovering, invite more.

200 people, an afternoon — $610. One machine covers this comfortably. An attendant is another $88 and then nobody from your office touches it.

300 people, a 90-minute lunch — $1,255. Two machines and a server. The second machine is there because of the clock, not the headcount: 300 people across an afternoon is one machine, 300 people in ninety minutes is two.

Company summer party with families, four machines, 2,000 servings — about $2,735. $1,135 of machines and $1,600 of servings. A full six-topping bar would add $1,000.

Four days for a year with no injuries, two machines, 1,000 servings — about $2,155. $635 for the first day, $720 for the other three, $800 of servings.

Every one of those includes delivery, setup, cleanup and pickup within 25 miles of Lehi. A $150 deposit holds the date and comes off the total.

Winter is the simplest time of year for us. Everything that makes an outdoor summer event fiddly — shade, heat, a machine fighting the sun — just disappears indoors. A lobby, a break room or a rented hall all work, and we run off whatever power the building already has.

Book early. November and December weekends go first, and the week before Christmas goes fastest of all. There is a whole post on running one of these in December.

A short window is fine, but tell us. Two hundred people on a thirty-minute break is a different job from two hundred grazing over an afternoon — same headcount, different number of machines. Tell us both numbers and we will size it properly — here is how the maths works.

It still beats a sheet cake. Announce that there is an ice cream machine in the building on Thursday and watch what it does to a December afternoon.

The things your facilities people will ask. Forward this section to them and it should settle it.

Power. A standard outlet runs our smaller machines. The larger ones want a 240v outlet. Tell us the venue and we check it ourselves before you book — we keep notes on the buildings we have already worked.

Space. Roughly the footprint of a filing cabinet, on a rolling cart with a linen skirt. It stays on the cart.

Access. The cart cannot go up or down stairs. Ground floor or a lift.

Time. We arrive about an hour before you want to be serving.

Afterwards. We break it down and take everything with us. Nothing is left for your team to deal with.

Dietary. Eleven of our thirteen flavors are Dole Soft Serve, which is dairy free. Run one Dole and one ice cream and nobody is left out — that sentence is written so you can paste it into the all-staff email.

Conferences, week-long bookings, a machine parked in the break room. Multi-day is priced per machine per day rather than per guest: $385 for the first machine on the first day, $250 for each additional machine, and $120 per machine for every day after the first. Servings are $0.80 each on top, and there is a $545 minimum on multi-day bookings.
